One Killed In Santa Maria Bicycle Accident

Larry Moore, 73, was struck and killed by a truck on November 22, 2010, around 12:27 p.m. in Santa Maria in Santa Barbara County, approximately 250 miles from San Diego. According to the California Highway Patrol, Moore was killed when he was hit while riding his bicycle by a truck driven by John Lee, 45. It is believed that Moore unexpectedly made a turn and turned in front of Lee’s truck.

San Diego Sailor Killed in Bicycle Accident

An unidentified 27-year old sailor died in a car crash at Camp Pendleton on May 25, 2010. The sailor was on his bicycle travelling along Vandergrift Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. when a Honda Odyssey struck him. The injured sailor was immediately airlifted to the nearby San Diego Hospital for treatment where he died a few hours later.

Alabama Bicycle Accident Leaves 15-Year Old Severely Injured

An Mobile, AL man was involved in an Alabama bicycle accident that left a teenage girl severely injured. The accident happened on the night of March 29, 2010.

The accused,Patrick McKinney II, struck a 15-year old girl who was out riding, along with three other kids. The bike accident happened on March Road near Old Pascagoula Road in Grand Bay. McKinney reportedly ran away from the scene after hitting her, but turned himself in the next day. He has been charged with felony hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, and assault in the first degree. The young girl is being treated at USA Medical Center for a head injury and a broken arm.

Walt Disney Resort Bus Kills 10-Year Old Bicyclist

A 10-year old St. Petersburg, FL boy lost his life in a fatal bicycle accident that occurred near the Fort Wilderness Resort, a Walt Disney resort, in Florida around 1:45 p.m.

The boy, Chase Brubaker, was riding his bicycle when he suddenly ran into the side of a Walt Disney bus that was running parallel to him. He was pulled beneath the bus and suffered fatal injuries to the upper part of his body.

Modesto Bicycle Accident Leaves Elderly Cyclist Dead

A 73-year old cyclist lost his life in a Modesto bicycle accident when he collided with a car. The bike accident took place in the afternoon of March 22, 2010 on Claus Road near Scenic Drive.

The deceased, William Foltz, was on his way back home when he was hit from behind by a pickup truck as he attempted to cross to the left lane. Foltz had signaled, but the lane was not clear and he was struck. Foltz was a member of the Stanislaus County Bicycling Club and had been riding these Modesto roads for a long time prior to this accident.
