San Diego Bicycle Collision Leaves Cyclist Injured

A man was injured in a San Diego bicycle collision that took place on April 14, 2010 before 6 a.m. The accident happened in the 2700 block of Kurtz Street in San Diego.

Reportedly, the bike crash took place between a Ford mini-van and a bicycle. The crash caused the area between Rosecrans Street and Pacific Highway to shut down for a while while police cleared the scene. The case is still under investigation. The cyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

Our office wishes the cyclist a speedy recovery. We hope that the reason behind the crash comes out soon. Once again, we feel there is a need to highlight the issue of driving in the early morning hours. Reduced visibility and alertness are major drawbacks. Also, drivers and cyclists need to be more vigilant.  Ensure that you give road space to those travelling alongside you.
